Building a Dental System for your Dental Lab
3Shape’s vision is to make daily work life in the dental lab easier, more efficient and to reduce costs.
But in order to get the most out of 3Shape’s solutions, it is important to understand how a digital dental CAD/CAM solution works and how that solution can be customized according to each customer’s individual needs.
Getting started
To get started the lab has to make three simple choices:
1. Choose a scanner:
E1, E2, E3, E4 or D2000
Based on parameters such as speed, accuracy, texture and cost. Please look at scanners for detailed specifications.
2. Choose a software package:
Crown & Bridge, Premium, Removable.
Based on the number of advanced cases. Please look at the software packages for details on the packages.
3. Choose a LabCare model:
LabCare or Basic Package
Based on your need for software upgrades, support and training.

Software Packages
A Software package for every need
The new Crown & Bridge package has been designed to solve the majority of the cases for the labs. If you are just going digital or need extra capacity for your lab this is the obvious package. For both Crown & Bridge and Premium you have a long list of potential Add-On Modules for more advanced cases or you can pay-per-design using CAD Points. Service Models
A LabCare model for any lab
To ensure that 3Shape has a solution for all labs we have decided to widen our offering around LabCare to now include two models. For the new scanners E1, E2 and E3 LabCare is optional and for D1000 and D2000 LabCare is mandatory.

LabCare Terms and conditions
When signing up for LabCare at time of scanner purchase the lab gets the first year subscription for free.
With E1, E2 and E3 the Lab has the option to discontinue LabCare by paying a service charge.
If an E scanner lab discontinues LabCare they also forefeit the LabCare Warranty & Replacement service.
If a lab wants to sign up for LabCare later they can do this by paying a service charge plus paying for the subscription.
Existing customers with D750, D850, D900L, D1000 and D2000 can also purchase Warranty & Replacement service. In countries without replacement service the lab is still able to purchase the Warranty but without the Replacement.
